iPhone 6 Rumors: Super Thin And In Two Sizes

January 13, 2014 By Alexandra

Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone is undoubtedly one of the most popular smart phones all around the world, and it has surely come a very long way from the moment the first version of iPhone was released, back in 2007. The iPhone 5S has been recently released and Apple has already managed to sell millions of pieces, but what is next?

Rumors about a highly sought-after iPhone 6 have emerged, and although these are nothing more than pure speculations at the moment, they have surely drawn the attention of both the media and those who are interested in buying this innovative and feature-rich smart phone.

What Will The iPhone 6 Be Like And When Will It Be Released?

This model will surely be released this year, although it is not sure whether it will hit the shelves in the fall of 2014 or during the winter. Some people say that iPhone 6 will be known as iPhone Air due to its very light weight and extremely thin design. It is believed that the new model will work on iOS 8, and that the autofocus feature will also be significantly improved. This new camera stabilization mechanism will surely be very appreciated by the fans, as it is designed to reduce image blurriness. One thing is for sure when it comes to the iPhone: Apple has shown numerous times that the number of megapixels is not the only thing that matters when it comes to image clarity, in spite of the fact that its competitors have released smartphones with two to three times more megapixels.

A Closer Look At The Possible Specifications, Features And Functions Of The Soon-To-Be-Released Apple iPhone 6

Other people speculate that the new model will have a significantly higher screen (that will be between 4.7 inches and 5.7 inches) and that it will come with two handsets. However, when it comes to the dimension of the screen most people agree that it will, most likely, be around 4.8 or 4.9 inches. The most significant improvement is in terms of thickness, as the iPhone air will follow the footsteps of the popular iPad air and it will measure no more than 6 mm in thickness, thus making it one of the thinnest ones available on the market (almost 2 mm thinner than the current iPhone 5S).

Other notable features that the iPhone 6 is expected to have include gesture control as well as retina+IGZO display, as one of the prototypes Apple is said to have made so far. The screen will have a full high definition resolution of 1080p. The casing of the new iPhone 6 is expected to be slightly different as well, as it is believed that it will contain slightly more premium metal

The bottom line is that the Iphone 6 will surely be a very big deal, just like all the new models released by Apple. Apple has shipped tens of millions of Apple 5S models all around the world, and it was only launched in September last year – this is why it is believed that the iPhone 6 will be launched in September 2014 or a couple of months after that.
